Last year I ran in my very first Tough Mudder. During the tough mudder there is an obstacle called the Artic Enema. Basically you need to jump into ice water pool and go underneath a beam in the middle forcing you to go under the water for a quick moment at least. Needless to say, this was quite the rude awakening and probably the only comparison I can draw to doing the Polar Plunge into a frozen Minnesota Lake.

Every year, thousands of Minnesotans brave the cold from January through March and literally jump into the cold water of one of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes to prove they can do it AND to raise money for Special Olympics Minnesota! This year’s Polar Bear Plunge starts Jan 31 to Mar 21 with Hell’s Kitchen providing Plungers with the ULTIMATE wrap-up party on March 29!

There are 20 events over the next 3 months including 4 new locations this year. There will be more than 15K participants and millions of dollars raised for 1 amazing cause so what are you waiting for? Brrring it on!

For all the details and information on how you can be a part of this event, go to their website at http://www.plungemn.org/

So get your team together and push yourself to the limit and benefit a worthy cause. If you are not able to jump, please consider sponsoring a plunger! Every little bit helps and 365 Twin Cities will donate money as well if we get this post shared. We will give $100 to Special Olympics Minnesota when the share count below this post reaches 500 or more! (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pintrest combined) Share this with your friends so we can give them some money!
