Sometimes when thinking about things to do in our fair city, we neglect our beautiful residential areas and neighborhoods. In doing so, we sometimes miss out on interesting architecture and well-manicured lawns and landscaping. Also there’s lots of great gardens to be seen in the Twin Cities.

Mark your calendar for the fifth annual Bright Gardens for Fraser tour on Saturday, July 17. Spend the day strolling through several award-winning private gardens in the metro area. Whether you’re an expert gardener or just finding your inner green thumb, there is something for everyone.

Arts & Flowers Design Studio will be conducting demonstrations on how to make an arrangement with flowers and foliage from your own garden to display indoors. Learn from Hennepin County master gardeners who will be available at each garden to answer any questions you have. In almost every garden you will find local artists creating and displaying a variety of artwork. There is a wide assortment of gardens on the tour and each one is unique. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the garden tour info page.

Ticket includes admission to all gardens on the tour (9am to 4pm), and for an additional charge you can pre-order a box lunch. Tour-only tickets are $20 per person; tour and lunch tickets are $30 (children 3 and under free). Purchase tickets online or contact Rose at 612-798-8343 or roser@fraser.org.
