For translating phrases to other languages on the fly, Google Translate does a fine job. But it would take a great deal of dedication and discipline to use that technology to learn a language that way.
What if you had a language partner with whom you could learn their native language and they could learn English from you?
On Tuesday April 5th, head over to Cause Spirits & Soundbar for Language Exchange Night. This mashup of cultures gives you the opportunity to pair up with a partner and begin to learn another language. Have a mojito or a beer and practice your second language. Practice your foreign language, meet new people, and learn about another culture.
Language Exchange Night is from 6 to 9pm, with Happy Hour until 7. There will also be a gift card drawing to kick off the evening, so get there early.
As communities become increasingly global, it's more important than ever to learn a foreign language. By bringing people together to practice languages we can build friendships and bring the world a little closer together.
