Although school is winding down for the year for most colleges and universities and spring concert season is past, for one group, the season is in full swing.

The Lirica Chamber Ensemble is a group of super talented Twin Cities twenty-somethings who enjoy making music together and hanging out discussing their love of music over a malted beverage or two. The group was formed in 2009 and includes conductor Emily Pflaum and 24 instrumentalists–nine on violins, four on viola, three on cello, two on clarinet, two on horn, and one on each, string bass, bassoon, oboe, and flute.

Tuesday, May 17th 2011, 7:30 pm Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church hosts Lirica Chamber Ensemble’s Spring Concert. This free performance features such wonderful pieces of music as Souvenir de Florence by Tchaikovsky, J.S. Bach’s Violin Concerto in E Major, Siegfried Idyll by Wagner, and Fagre’s Obsession.

Head on over Tuesday night and check out this brilliant performance and enjoy some fantastic chamber music!
