Twin Cities Film Fest – October 16–25 – St. Louis Park & Edina, MN
Get ready for ten days of movie magic! The Twin Cities Film Fest returns October 16–25, bringing filmmakers, storytellers, and movie lovers together for one of Minnesota’s biggest arts events of the year. This annual celebration of independent film features more than 150 screenings, panels, red carpet events, and special appearances—all right here in the Twin Cities.
The 2025 Twin Cities Film Fest marks its sixteenth year and is bigger than ever, with screenings happening at Marcus West End Cinema in St. Louis Park and the Edina Mann Theatre. For those who prefer watching from home, many films will also be available online throughout the festival dates, making it easy for movie fans across Minnesota to join in.

Expect a mix of dramas, comedies, documentaries, and short films, including powerful stories from women and BIPOC creators. Nearly half of this year’s films are part of the HER Series—highlighting women filmmakers and stories centered on women’s experiences. Local talent will also take center stage with Minnesota-connected films featured throughout the lineup.
This year’s festival kicks off with the Minnesota premiere of Hamnet, directed by Chloé Zhao, followed by the comedy Good Fortune, Aziz Ansari’s directorial debut starring Keanu Reeves. Other standout titles include The Floaters, Man on the Run—a documentary about Paul McCartney—and dozens of fresh new voices from the indie film scene.
In addition to screenings, the festival will host several red carpet events, Q&A sessions, and panel discussions with directors and producers. On Saturday, October 18, there’s a can’t-miss Industry Panel focused on film production and distribution, plus the Pitch-A-Thon, where local creators get the chance to pitch original ideas to industry pros.
If you’re attending in person, grab a coffee or a cocktail at the Festival Lounge at The Shops at West End in St. Louis Park—it’s a great place to meet filmmakers and mingle between screenings.
