The Mounds View Festival in the Park is a beloved summer tradition in the northern suburbs, now held annually in Mounds View, MN. With roots stretching back to 1975, this local, volunteer-run 501(c)(3) event brings the community together for two days of fun and connection.

Event Highlights & Schedule

Friday, August 15Family Fun Night at City Hall Park

  • 5:30–8:30 PM: Splash pad DJ party, carnival-style games, and food vendors

  • 6:00 PM: Colorful community parade marches through town

  • 7:00–8:30 PM: Penny Carnival opens—classic carnival games with candy and novelty prizes for just a few cents

Saturday, August 16Main Day at Silver View Park

  • 8:00 AM: Food vendors open and stay all day to fuel your fun

  • 8:00 AM: Annual Car Show rolls in for its 19th year

  • 10:00 AM–2:00 PM creative family fun includes a Bag Toss Tournament and Medallion Hunt

  • 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM: Craft & Vendor Fair and Seniors Tent & Activities

  • 11:00 AM: The Hasse Family Petting Zoo opens, and local hero units like K9 teams and fire departments appear for touch-a-truck demos

  • 1:00 PM–9:30 PM: Live music and dancing kick off with Fiddle and Flannels, followed by RUSTE.official (3:30 PM) and Wicked Garden (6:00 PM)

  • 1:00 PM: Car Show trophy presentation

  • 3:00 PM: Fire safety demos, including Kitchen Grease Fire and Side-by-Side Burn Room simulations

  • 4:00–6:00 PM: Tons of joy with a foam party for kids

  • 9:40 PM: The night ends with a dazzling fireworks show lighting up the Mounds View sky
