Is learning to row on your bucket list? Do graceful crews in long, sleek boats moving on local waterways arouse your curiosity?
The Minneapolis Rowing Club has been rowing the Mississippi since 1877. Today’s club offers:
● Learn to Row classes for all ages, from high school students to adults
● Rowing for recreational pursuit as well as nationally competitive men’s and women’s teams
● High quality coaching and clinics
● An award winning boathouse on the Mississippi river with a fleet of rowing shells and equipment
River conditions are much better than is typical at this time of year, and learn-to-row classes are starting soon! We have everything from a single day Experience Rowing class to a full course that will get you up to speed and heading off to regattas in no time. Questions? We invite you to attend our open house, so mosey on down to our beautiful boathouse on the Mississippi River and spend a Saturday hanging out with us for awhile. Members will be around to answer your questions. Whether you’re curious about how a boathouse is run, curious about what rowing is all about here in Minneapolis, or you’re stoked and are wondering how to get started, this is a great opportunity.
Open House is on May 9, 2015 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Minneapolis Rowing Club, 2821 West River Parkway, Minneapolis (across from the Longfellow Grill, and down the hill to the river)
