Doctors Without Borders is bringing its free, interactive exhibition – Forced From Home – to Minneapolis’s The Commons (next to US Bank Stadium) from Sunday 9/9 through Sunday 9/16. Forced From takes visitors behind the headlines and statistics to share the real stories of those who have been forced to leave their homes around the world.
The exhibition features one-hour tours led by experienced Doctors Without Borders’ aid workers who lead visitors through a series of interactive simulations featuring items from refugee camps, search-and-rescue missions and migration routes, as well as immersive virtual reality films and a 360-degree video dome.
The exhibition is free and open to the public on weekends from 10am-6pm and on weekdays from 4pm-8pm at The Commons at 425 Portland Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55415. Families with children are welcome, but the content is recommended for ages 12 and up. Click here for additional information and directions.
The exhibition is fully accessible and will offer an American Sign Language (ASL) tour for the deaf and hard of hearing on Saturday, September 15th at 11am.
