St. Patty’s Day is coming up soon, as we’re already a week into March. Many of us will be donning our best kelly green and partaking in the festivities across the metro. But that’s a post for another day.
More imminent is the Irish Comedy Tour, a trio of Irish-American comedians hitting the road and bringing their raucous and riotous blend of music and humor to various stops across the nation. Their travels take them to the Fine Line Music Cafe this Wednesday, March 9th, 2011.
The Irish Comedy tour features knee-slapping Irish-themed comedy routines by Dubliner Keith Aherne, Detroit native Derek Richards, and Boston bad boy Mike McCarthy. Sorry kids, this one’s for the 21+ crowd, and rightfully so. First, it’s in a bar that serves alcohol, but more importantly, many of the themes and language are not for kids. There’ll be drinking and cussing, some singing, some stories, and more drinking and more cussing.
Tickets are available online and can get pricey for the best seats. Prices are $17, $47, and $77, so if you don’t mind a balcony seat, it could be a relatively cheap night out. But then again, maybe it’s worth it to be up front. I’ll leave that up to you.
Head on over to the Fine Line, settle in with a pint, and get set for some wild, irreverent fun.
