Have you ever won a science fair or spelling bee? Do you have a collection of Star Wars action figures that would make George Lucas blush? Does your job end in “-ologist?” Is your mp3 collection pushing 1 terabyte? Ever thought the Quadratic Equation was poetic? Were you sad that Benoît Mandelbrot died this week?
There’s a saying that says nerds know HTML — How To Meet Ladies. Fellas, you can put your nerd swagger to the test on Monday October 18th at the Bulldog NE.
Nerd Fest is an event organized by Nerds at Heart, an organization with chapters in the Twin Cities and elsewhere. Nerd Fest offers a chance to mingle with other nerds, impress the ladies (or fellas) with your knowledge of fractal geometry, Star Trek, and OS architecture.
The event seeks to bring together smart singles to meet other intelligent people over cocktails and conversation. All stereotypes aside, who wouldn’t love to meet an interesting person and chat it up? Nerd Fest offers you a chance to do so. Even dress up in a nerdy outfit if you want. It’s a great icebreaker to get the conversation flowing. Not that you’re shy, of course.
The Bulldog NE is located at 401 E Hennepin in Minneapolis. The nerdy fun starts at 7pm. Get advanced tickets online for $10, or just drop by and pay $15 at the door.
