Concerts in the Commons — Excelsior’s Free Summer Music Series

The beloved Concerts in the Commons returns to Excelsior Commons Park with six free shows this summer along the shores of Lake Minnetonka. Organized by the Excelsior Morning Rotary Club in partnership with the City of Excelsior, this community‑backed fundraiser combines food trucks, beer & wine sales, and sunset live music—all to support improvements to the park.

Summer 2025 Lineup & Key Updates

A note for fans: Gear Daddies and The Suburbs concerts have been rescheduled due to scheduling conflicts. The new dates are:

  • Gear Daddies – now on Tuesday, August 12

  • The Suburbs – now on Wednesday, August 27

Here are the remaining four shows you won’t want to miss at the Commons:

Want the kids to burn energy before the music starts? Come early and enjoy the Commons Kids Club, featuring DJ Bill Lage playing family-friendly tunes from 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM. Expect bubble machines, hula hoops, and interactive fun to get everyone dancing and smiling before the main show kicks off at 6:30. It’s the perfect reason to arrive early with your little ones!
