The first Irish Pub in Minnesota built entirely in Ireland and shipped piece by piece to the United States. The Pub’s authentic design was the first step in assuring all our guests enjoy the true essence of an Irish Pub.
Walk into this little piece of Ireland and you’ll feel you’ve been transported to the Emerald Isle itself. O’Donovan’s owner is a native Irishman and no expense was spared importing the entire decor from his native state. Enjoy live folk music most nights and Authentic Irish dishes, especially those made from potato, are found throughout the extensive menu. Try colcannon mashed potatoes or the potato pancake called boxty. Fish and chips, Stout-based beef stew and salmon are also featured.
Words from the owner: I believe and I hope you do too, that we have the best staff this side of the Emerald Isle. Our philosophy here at O’Donovan’s is to “go the extra mile for all our guests all the time.”

Brit’s Pub & Eating Establishment
Brit’s Pub in downtown Minneapolis first opened its doors way back in 1990. Since then it has grown from a small two-room tavern into the much larger institution it is now. Additions over the years included the Long Room in 1994 and the world-renowned English Garden Park, complete with its 10,000 square foot Lawn Bowling green, in 1998.
In 2006 Brit’s continued to expand with the opening of two new spaces; The Veranda Bar – an outdoor rooftop bar overlooking the English Garden Park, and The Clubhouse – a comfy cocktail and party lounge with views over Nicollet Mall and Peavy Plaza
