People pay good money to take a cruise down the St. Croix during this time of year with its fiery colors exploding blue background of the river.
How fitting that October is also time for Stillwater’s Fall Colors Fine Art and Jazz Festival. Held this weekend, October 5th and 6th, to coincide with nature’s artistic showing, the art and music festival attracts approximately 10,000 visitors each year to take in the Jazz stage performances and fine artistic craftsmanship of all types set between Historic Main Street and the St. Croix Riverfront.
With 70 artists on hand to this year showing off their creations you can find anything from wood, metal, glass, photography, paintings, pottery and jewelry.
CRANKSHAFT kicks off the musical line up this year while Mick Sterling closes down the event. Also catch RAMM with Paul Mayasich and Gypsy Mania Hot Club.
When you’re appetite kicks in, check out the art offered by the food vendors 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
From extremely skilled artisans and great musicians to the romance of horse-drawn carriages, wedding photos gondola rides. and great food, this festival has taste, touch, sight, smell and hearing covered!
For three decades the Fall Colors Fine Art and Jazz Festival has been going strong and continues to grow every year.
