Day 11 – Sunday, August 31, 2025: Friends of the Fair Day

This Sunday is Friends of the Fair Day, a celebration of the great work done by the Minnesota State Fair Foundation. It’s a thoughtful occasion that brings extra meaning to one of your last fair days.

Fair Details:

  • Admission: $20 for adults (ages 13–64), and $18 for both seniors (65+) and kids (5–12).

  • Hours:

    • Admission begins at 7 a.m. and goes through 9 p.m.

    • Fairgrounds stay open until 11 p.m.

    • Mighty Midway runs from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

    • Kidway is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
      (Note: ride closing times may vary.)

Day Highlights

Friends of the Fair Day shines a spotlight on the community and spirit behind the scenes—recognizing volunteers, donors, and contributors who help make the fair what it is. It’s a great day to feel that goodwill!

Grandstand

  • 7:30 p.m. – Catch the Minnesota State Fair Amateur Talent Contest Finals. It’s free, full of variety, and a perfect chance to applaud rising stars.

Free Evening Shows

  • Bandshell (7:30 p.m.) – Enjoy a set by Ber, lighting up the night with good vibes.

  • West End Market Stage at Schilling Amphitheater (8 p.m.)Joyann Parker brings her soulful sound to round out the evening.

  • Bazaar After Dark at Summit Stage (8 p.m.)Pamela McNeill delivers “Janis, Stevie, Dolly, and Me,” a heartfelt tribute performance.
