Can’t get through the day without a strong cup of joe? Do you appreciate the complexity of flavors that can be achieved in a single cup of coffee? Whether you are an addict or an aficionado, the 22nd Annual Calhoun Coffee Festival is the event for you! On November 19th, from 10 am to 3 pm at Calhoun Square, coffee lovers will congregate for an afternoon devoted to the almighty cup of joe.
For only $10 (or the cost of two tall cappuccino-coffee-latte what-have-yous at your favorite coffee shop), coffee lovers will gain access to the event and all of its offerings including a Coffee Festival mug and vendor samples, which range from coffee and teas, breads, desserts, and other tasty surprises. Admission also grants attendees access to educational seminars and entertainment, as well as special offers and prize drawings from participating vendors. Getting up early on Saturdays rarely pays off, but in this case the first 1,000 people to the Calhoun Square Coffee Festival will receive a $5 discount that can be used at participating retailers and restaurants.
Additionally, the Calhoun Square Coffee Festival is partnering up with the non-profit House of Charity whose mission is to “Feed those in need, house those experiencing homelessness, and empower individuals to achieve independence.” For close to 60 years now, House of Charity has been assisting individuals in the Minneapolis community meet their needs for food and shelter, as well taking steps to reduce barriers on the path to self-sufficiency.
