Weekend Sales at Occasional Shops of Carver & Chaska

Published on: 07/21/11 8:56 PM

Need something fun to do this weekend?

Plan to spend the weekend shopping at the Twin Cities Area’s biggest group of Occasional Sales in historic downtown Carver and Chaska. Carver and Chaska are about ten minutes west of 494 off the new Hwy 212.

Starting this weekend, The Occasional Shops of Carver & Chaska will be open Thursday 10am–5 pm and 10am–4pm on Friday and Saturday.

Carver and Chaska have a total of eight unique vintage and antique occasional shops for you to shop at. The shops are open the third weekend of every month. Each sale runs for three days and the shops are filled with antiques, primitives, and unique vintage items. You’ll be sure to find something for everyone, no matter what your taste or decorating style is. Great items for your home or cabin.

Every month the shops are stocked with new inventory so plan to come and shop each month as you never know what you may find.

Like The Occasional Shops of Carver & Chaska on Facebook for news and updates for each of the shops. Each shop tries to post pictures before each sale.

DO NOT SHOP AT LA LA LAND IN CHASKA!
We bought a dining table from this retailer, got it home and realized it’s not a functional height for dining chairs with an adult male in them. The display was misleadingly set up with 1 chair that was smaller than standard dining chairs. The owner would not stand behind her merchandise and hid behind an “all sales final” claim that was posted somewhere in her booth. The receipt makes no mention of all sales final.
This has been one of the worst customer service experiences i have ever had. She was completely unwilling to work with us and didn’t even acknowledge the problem. I will never purchase anything from this “business” again and will warn all I can to stay away.

When buying furniture in vintage/antique stores, I find it helpful to bring a tape measure with me. Keep in mind we are a much taller/bigger society than people were generations ago. Sofas and chairs were lower to the floor. Sorry this happened to you. The All Sales Final is a common policy in most of the Occasional-type stores I’ve shopped.

I am looking for any information I can find to help my friends and I plan our annual girl’s weekend. I recently learned about Chaska and Carver’s occasional stores. I was told they are closed most weekends, but all open up on the same weekends. I”m looking online and some information seems quite dated. Are all shops open on the 3rd weekend of each month? Can you give me any information to help plan our trip. Are there stores in other nearby towns? Can you mail or email me any info? I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you.

      Hey Karen,

The best way to get the most up to date info is their Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Occasional-Shops-of-Carver-Chaska/186729968029824.

      Thanks for the comment!

Very unfriendly owner at “The Rusty Truck” and it seems like a big garage sale, don’t bother!
