Whew, we made it through Valentine’s Day without a scratch! At least we did not get all “Walking Dead” and get Trapped Inside a room with a Zombie or anything. Well, now that you can!! (if you are into that sort of thing!)
This is one of the most interesting things I have seen to do in a long time. On March 1st at the Big Thrill Factory in Minnetonka, you and a friend or even up to 11 other friends can go and get locked in a room with an actual zombie. You will have an hour to find the key that is hidden inside the room. It could be anywhere!! Don’t worry, there will be clues and riddles to solve to help you along your way. Not to make you feel any pressure but every 5 minutes, the chain that is holding the zombie is release a little more so be careful!
Here is what the description of the interactive experience is from their website…
Don’t just sit in a dark theater and watch a zombie movie on the screen. For this interactive experience, you’re trapped in a room — and an actual hungry zombie is there, too, chained to the wall. Every five minutes, a buzzer sounds and the zombie’s chain is released a few more inches. You and up to 11 other adventurers have 60 minutes to escape the room or risk getting eaten! Hidden somewhere in the room is a key that will unlock the door to your freedom. You and your fellow zombie bait must work together to locate numerous clues and solve riddles. It’s perfect for a thrilling night out with friends, a really cool date night, or just to have a blast by yourself while meeting new people — because cheating death by zombie tends to create fast friendships.
So if you are interested in tickets, I know there are some at halfprice.mn so you can save a few dollars to check this out!
Here are some tips to help you escape from their website…
#1. DON’T JUST STAND THERE! There are clues scattered throughout the room. Move, touch, pull, turn, twist and open as many things as you can to find clues.
#2. SHARE YOUR FINDINGS. The only way to solve the puzzles and escape is to put all of the clues together. A safe may take two or three clues to open. Gather your clues in one spot and work as a collaborative unit with the other adventurers to come up with solutions.
#3. STAY AWAY FROM THE ZOMBIE. The Zombie is hungry and he wants to eat you. It is chained to a wall, but don’t get near it. If the Zombie touches you, you will have to sit and no longer will be permitted to search for clues, but you can still participate verbally.
I look forward to hearing all about it and what your experience was in the comments below!
