This year’s Saint Paul Winter Carnival will look different than year’s past due to the ongoing pandemic, however we are excited none the less! Please note that most Saint Paul Winter Carnival events are FREE and open to the public, and will take place in downtown Saint Paul, near Rice Park and Landmark Center, as well as at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

Save the date for the 135th Saint Paul Winter Carnival: January 28 – February 7, 2021!

Since 1886, the Saint Paul Winter Carnival has brought family-friendly events and community pride to Saint Paul and the Twin Cities metro area. Through city-wide special events, fun activities and more, the Saint Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation celebrates winter like only Minnesotans can!

This year there will be 3 fun scavenger hunts, live music (which we all are missing!), a softball and ice fishing tournament (not together…two separate events!) and a Frozen Family Fun night.

However, one huge change this year they will be offering a drive-through experience combining two signature Winter Carnival events – the Ice Carving Competition and the Snow Sculpture Contest.

It will be different than years past, however, it is going to be 2021 and it is time to keep moving forward.

So tell us, what do you think? Will you be going to this year’s Saint Paul Winter Carnival?
