Want to feel like you have options for 365 things to do every month? Get in touch with the Minnesota Women of Today! With over 80 chapters statewide, including many in the Twin Cities, the members of this nonprofit organization focused on community service, personal growth and making friendships always have something going on! Coming up? Get outside and make some new friends with a walk around Cleary Lake on June 21 with the Savage Area Women of Today. On June 26, you can watch ’em play ball and fetch a good deed for Can Do Canines service dogs at the same time as you cheer for the St. Paul Saints along with the Eagan Women of Today. That’s in the afternoon, at 1:05pm, so you’ll have plenty of time after you’ve helped the Eden Prairie Women of Today keep things clean with an Adopt-a-Highway road cleanup of Hennepin Town Road that Sunday morning at 9am.

Looking ahead to July? Members of many chapters will be helping to stuff rainstick craft kits for hospitalized kids at the Camp Get-A-Well-A headquarters in Edina on July 6 and 7 between 5 and 8:30pm. Several Women of Today chapters also participate in their communities’ Relay for Life American Cancer Society events; the Savage Area Women of Today will be walking in Shakopee the night of July 8 to 9, while the Eden Prairie Women of Today follow up in their town the following weekend, July 15 to 16. The EP chapter also has a regular date to play bingo with the residents of Park Health and Rehab Center in St. Louis Park; in July, that’ll be on the 13th. And the Savage Area chapter will be repeating one of their favorite projects, re-packaging powdered laundry detergent into food shelf-sized bags — followed by a walk — at Sunset Pond Park in Burnsville on July 19.

Craft nights, game nights, parties, entries into charitable race events, and monthly meetings where events are discussed, friendships made, and women 18 and older are encouraged to grow in their personal development, will add even more activities to the summer — and beyond — for the Minnesota Women of Today chapters. Worried that you can’t do it all? Don’t worry; no one can! Members of Minnesota Women of Today participate in the events they can, when they can — for the good of themselves, their communities and their friends.

Sound like something you want to be part of, but you didn’t see anything specifically for your community or your interest in the list? Contact the statewide organization’s website at www.mnwt.org or call the Chapter Service Center at (952) 406-8578 (or by email at csc@mnwt.org) to get in touch with a chapter in your area, or consider starting a new chapter, and start providing your feedback for innumerable things to do!
