Lisa Larrive was born and raised in Minnesota and currently lives in Saint Paul with her husband Tom and her dog Dino.
Her love for reading started young with many visits to the local library for story time with her Mother. She became interested in writing while attending St. Olaf College, and went on to earn a bachelors degree in English. During her junior year of college, she was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. So began a lifelong ambition to raise awareness of Celiac disease by living a gluten-free lifestyle.
Grateful for Gluten-Free is Lisa’s first book for children about eating gluten-free. Gabby has Celiac disease and cannot eat foods with wheat or gluten, so she loves when her Mom makes her favorite gluten-free food–PANCAKES! Gabby’s journey helps her discover how grateful she is to live gluten-free, not only because it’s delicious, but because it’s fun too! For ages 2 to 8.
