Everyone loves dogs so today we are talking about the Land O’Lakes Kennel Club Dog Show that is happening this weekend at the Saint Paul RiverCentre.
The event runs today through Sunday from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm each day!

More than 1,600 canines in 194 breeds will compete for American Kennel Club (AKC) awards when Land O’Lakes Kennel Club presents its annual Dog Show at Saint Paul RiverCentre Friday-Sunday, Jan. 3-5. Schedules for show times will be posted on landolakeskennelclub.org as the show weekend nears.
Celebrity Appearance by Breezer – the Minnesota Wild’s Team Dog
Breezer, a Labrador Retriever the Minnesota Wild adopted from Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue in August, is set to make a celebrity appearance at the show on Friday, Jan. 3 from 10 – 11 a.m. The famous rescue pup will be signing PAWtographs and taking selfies with show attendees. Following Breezer’s one-year training contract with the Wild, he will pursue a career training with Soldier’s 6, a Minnesota non-profit that provides honorably discharged veterans, police officers and fire fighters with specially trained K-9s.
American Kennel Club (AKC) “Puppy Party”
On Saturday morning, owners of new puppies ages 4 – 6 months old are invited by AKC to enter a fun, interactive mock dog show geared strictly for puppies (must pre-register). No more entries will be accepted (entries closed on December 18).
New Breeds for 2020
The Barbet, a French water dog, and the Dogo Argentino, a pack-hunting dog, are eligible to compete and earn their first championship titles as of January 1, 2020.
Unleashed Dog Expo
Open to all 2020 Land O’Lakes Dog Show attendees, the Unleashed Dog Expo features live demonstrations of a number of fun activities for you and your four-legged friends. From agility to skijoring and pet tricks to canine free style, you’ll be sure to discover something new and exciting. Activities will be held in Roy Wilkins Auditorium on all three days from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Scheduled events include:

Midwest Regional Junior Showmanship Competition
On Saturday, the future of the dog world will compete in a junior handling competition which recognizes young handlers from the entire Midwest area. The winner of the competition will be eligible to compete in the Royal Canin 2020 AKC National Championship Show in December 2020.
Dog Show Tours
Dog Show tours are one of the most popular activities at the Land O’Lakes Dog Show. Tours are available to all spectators on Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tour guides will take you around the show and explain the mechanics and activities involved in showing.
Partners in Performance
On Saturday and Sunday in the rotunda at Saint Paul RiverCentre, several non-profit organizations and individuals will hold presentations covering a diverse range of topics including Assistance Dogs, Canine Ambassadors, Detection, Guide Dogs, Therapeutic Dogs and much more.
St. Paul Police K-9 Unit
A special detection demonstration put on by the St. Paul Police K-9 unit will occur Saturday afternoon at the show.
ASK AKC
Representative from the national AKC office will be in attendance to answer any questions that attendees might have on topics ranging from what you should ask breeders to how to socialize your puppy

$9 – Adults
$5 – Children 12 and under
$7 – Seniors (62+) and Veterans
$23 – Family Four Pack (2 adult tickets and 2 kids tickets)
Children 4 and under admitted free.
