I have to think that this tradition of Easter is where the saying “Too many eggs in their basket” comes from. You, along with every other child in the world, wanted to be the one with the most eggs at the end of the Easter Egg Hunt.

This year, as opposed to other years in the Twin Cities, it looks like the weather will be warm enough to actually enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt. So here is our list by what day you can join in the Hunt:

FRIDAY, April 3rd

Flashlight Egg Hunt
Time: 9-10 pm
Location: Creekview Park, 5001 Humboldt Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN 55430
Event Details: Registration is not required for the event, but you must be in the Creekview Park building by 9pm to be included in the hunt. Free. Ages 3 months to 13.

SATURDAY, April 4th


Chanhassen Easter Egg Candy Hunt – Easter egg hunt

Time: 9 am
Location: City Center Park, 7700 Market Boulevard, Chanhassen MN. Phone: 952-227-1122.
Event Details: Over 300 children along with their friends and families attend this annual event. The program includes prize giveaways, a coloring contest, the candy hunt, and an appearance from the Easter Bunny! Easter Egg Candy Hunt. Children ages 12 and under will hunt for candy and special eggs, including a golden egg that can be redeemed for a great prize! Each participant will also be eligible for the door prize drawings (must be present to win). Event will be held rain or shine at City Center Park, just north of Chanhassen City Hall. Don’t forget your camera for a photo with the Easter Bunny!

Erickson’s Petting Zoo
Time: 10am to 2pm

Event Details: Hunt for plastic eggs for all ages up to 12 years old. Lots of animals to feed and pet. If the weather isn’t the best bring BOOTS! Each child will get a basket (please don’t bring your own or a plastic bag), Limit of (1) basket per child. Admission fee.

Osman Shrine and Lost Spur Golf & Event Center
Time: 1pm to 3 pm
Location: 2750 Sibley Memorial Highway, Eagan, MN 55121. Phone: 651-452-5660
Event Details: Osman Shrine Clowns will be wandering the grounds making balloon animals. Kids Id packets will also be available. Prizes will include three gift baskets, one for each age bracket, and one “golden ticket” grand prize which will include a family golf membership to the Lost Spur Golf and Event Center. Donations accepted for the Shriners Hospital for Children Transportation & Aid Fund. The hunt is limited to the first 250 children, ages 1-9, 3 eggs each.

United Noodles
Time: 9:30 am to 11:00 am

St. Louis Park Lions Club Bunny Egg Hunt – Easter egg hunt
Time: Check-in at 10 am; Egg Hunt starts promptly at 10:15 am $2 per child (no fee for supervising adult)

Event Details: Ages 3 – 8 (with accompanying adult) Participants will hunt for candy and special eggs in two different age categories. Each participant will receive a special bag to collect their goodies. Bring your camera for a picture with the Park Bunny or Lions Club Lion! Prizes will be awarded for the coloring contest for ages 8 and under. Pick up a coloring sheet at The Rec Center or download it when you register! Bring your completed masterpiece to the event. Program is sponsored by the St. Louis Park Lions Club. Egg Hunt starts promptly at 10:15 a.m. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the middle school.
