When it comes to live theater productions, Minneapolis seems to get all the glory, with a massive amount of theaters from the West Bank to Downtown to Uptown and everywhere in between. Minneapolis certainly does have ample theaters to check out.

But in the north metro, there is a theater that has quietly been putting together and performing some great shows, hosting cool concerts, and wowing audiences with their theatrical productions. They Lyric Arts Main Street Stage was founded in 1995 and relocated to its current location on Anoka’s Main Street in 2001.

Lyric Arts sells about 30,000 tickets per year with its unique mix of comedy, drama, classics, musicals, and children’s productions. It is the only full-time, year-round theater in the northern metropolitan area, and hosts theater workshops, school day matinees, touring performances, educational outreach programs, and other family friendly programming.

Currently playing at Lyric Arts Main Street Stage is their production of Miracle on 34th Street, a heartwarming tale of Kris Kringle and his experiences at Macy’s. This is one department store stop you’ll definitely want to catch. Check out ticket pricing and seating to check out this wonderful show.
