Day 2: Walker Art Center

Published on: 04/2/10 10:33 AM

There are a few things that are synonymous with the Twin Cities. The immediately recognizable Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture, the IDS building, Target Field, and one that is fast becoming an icon of the Twin Cities brand is the the Walker Art Center.

The Walker Art Center, located between Minneapolis’s downtown and Uptown areas on Hennepin Avenue features live music, film, exhibitions, design, collections, lectures, and many other cool attractions.

If anyone tries to tell you there’s no free lunch…well, that may be true, but you CAN check out the The Walker on Free Thursday nights, sponsored by Target. This a great option for the budget-minded family.
