Gray Matters

Every year the Fringe Festival hosts hundreds of artists and gives them the opportunity to produce the show they have always dreamed of. This year, emerging choreographed Zoé Emilie Henrot is producing and choreographing a full length contemporary ballet with fellow artists Jarod Boltjes, Micah Chermak, Shannon Corbett, Michelle Ludwig, and Preston Stockert. The work is entitled ‘Gray Matter: a contemporary ballet exploring the mysteries of consciousness.’ Although the Fringe Festival provides us with a theater in which to show our work, we still need funds for several other essentials such as studio space, costumes, shoes, advertising material, and crew and artist compensation.

Café Levain in South Minneapolis has graciously donated their space on the night of Monday, June 17th to our project where we will be hosting a benefit auction for Gray Matter. There will be pizza from Pizza Biga, wine from Café Levain, auction items such as memberships to Corepower Yoga and Haute Barre, paintings and sketches by local artists, and special opportunities to get to know the cast! In addition to all of this, the cast of Gray Matter will present a live sneak peek of the work. Please join us in supporting the arts and artists of the Twin Cities!
